Building connections across cultures
Would you like to get to know and spend time with asylum-seeking / refugee families with children living in the Canton of Zug?
CommunityLinks invites individuals and families - who live in the Canton of Zug to take part in a friendship and integration project.
Through simple, authentic encounters, participants build friendships that foster social and cultural understanding.
It’s not about financial support — it’s about sharing time and activities.

Our Goals
• Build friendships and genuine human connections
• Create a network of trust and belonging that helps the families feel welcomed, supported and integrated into their new environment
• Offer families and children positive experiences of inclusion, stability, and joy
How It Works
Together with the “Asylum Social Services” of the Canton Zug, we match you with asylum-seeking / refugee families with children.
Together, you decide what to do — share a meal, enjoy an outing, playdate, creative workshops for children, celebrating birthdays off all family members, cook, homework support for children or simply spend time together.
Each friendship grows naturally, at its own pace, based on mutual interest and availability.
If you want to join the project, we ask that you commit for at least 6 months.
There is no minimum number of activities you need to undertake.
If for any reason you wish to leave the project, please inform CommunityLinks.

Christmas Party 2026

Since 2008, CommunityLiks has supported more than 4600 asylum seekers and refugees children, and reinforcing a strong feeling of belonging to the community for them and their families.
Our goal this year: offering to 450 asylum seekers, refugees children and their families a fabulous evening with a festive meal, games, meeting with Santa and receiving an individualised gift bag, 60CHF value, (toiletries, toys, stationeries, plush). This party is only made possible by the generosity of volunteers and sponsors.  

This is also a very good opportunity for Corporate volunteering encompassing team spirit and joyful generosity! Bake together, host a Christmas tree sponsoring a child drive, come wrap the gifts as a team, volunteer during the party, set up a donation box at your office, you name it!.
